Day 01: Arrival Phnom Penh and Sightseeing

Day 01: Arrive Phnom Penh and Sightseeing
Arrive at Phnom Penh International Airport, Cambodia. Meet, welcome and assist by our office representative and transfer to Hotel for check in. Welcome drinks followed by tour briefing .Get refreshed, and then first leave for royal residence of the king of Cambodia, the Royal Palace, built by King Norodom. Later on proceed to visit the Silver Pagoda, the temple of the Emerald Buddha. Visit the National Museum, Cambodia’s largest museum of cultural history. Then continue to visit the only hill in town with sacred sites called Wat Phnom and walk along Mekong River bank to see the beautiful Phnom Penh city at night with breathtaking view along the river. After sightseeing, back to hotel and overnight.
Day 02: Phnom Penh – Kompong Cham – Kratie
After breakfast, check out from hotel. Arrive at Kratie and start your day tour on a traditional fishermen boat which takes you on a one hour cruise of the dolphin pool of Kampi. This is the largest dolphin pool on the Mekong River and the natural habitat of the critically endangered Mekong Dolphin. Travel to Koh Trong Island in a ferry. Stay overnight in Koh Trong
Day 03: Sightseeing: Kratie – Kampong Thom
Start your day by cycling around the island (9km ride), passing by many traditional Khmer houses built on stilts. Check out from hotel and transfer to Kompong Thom via Kompong Cham by road. Stop at the old Wat Rokakandal Temple for sightseeing of the traditional decorations. Admire one of the oldest wooden houses of Cambodia at Chhlong village.
Arrive in Kompong Cham and proceed to visit Wat Nokor also called Nokor Bachey Pagoda. Continue sightseeing of artful roof of monastery Wat Andri at Kompong Thom and climb the 980 steps of the holy mountain Phnom Santuk, enjoy the beautiful sunset views over the rice fields at the peak as well as lovely views over the surrounding countryside. After sightseeing tour, finally return back to hotel and overnight at Kompong Thom.
Day 04: Drive Kompong Thom – Arrive Siem Reap (Sightseeing)
Breakfast. Check out from hotel and drive for Siem Reap, observing the beautiful views and lives of Cambodians (176.5 km/ 3h 28min). You will often slow down to let cows and water buffalo wander across the road, pass horse drawn carriages, and school kids walking and cycling to/from school. Stop for Sightseeing at Sambor Prei Kuk, the archeological site of Kampong Thom with hundred Pre- Angkor styled temples. Later on proceed for most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor: Angkor Wat. Enjoy wonderful sunset from the top of Phnom Bakheng Hills. Stay overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 05: Sightseeing temples: Ta Prohm, Banteay Srey, Tasom
Rise early to beat the crowds for the tour of the Ta Prohm, photogenic temple and one of the area’s most beautiful temples. Later on proceed to Banteay Srey, small but beautiful temple, through rural countryside. Capture some good photographs of the clear and detailed carvings. For the later afternoon proceed to Tasom, beautiful photo spots, especially the rear entrance where tree roots adorn the gateway. Enjoy the wonderful sunset over the rice fields from the royal crematorium of Pre Rup, a classic view of the Cambodian countryside. Travelers can entertain themselves by attending traditional Khmer Dance Performance, often referred to as ‘Apsara Dance’, better described as ‘dance drama’. After sightseeing tour, finally return back to hotel and overnight.
Day 06: Sightseeing
Begin your journey on bike to world heritage areas on the roads less travelled. Ride among the jungle passing local village and local shops, you will explore some of Angkor’s most beautiful temples. Proceed to visit ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century), South Gate, Bayon Temple – unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara, Baphuon temple, Phimeankas temple, the Elephant terrace, Preah Palilay. Now proceed for most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor: Angkor Wat. Return to hotel and over night.
Day 07: Departure
Breakfast and check out from hotel. Timely transfer to the airport for flight to your onwards destination.
